CHUKK SCOTT’S FOUNDATION WAS
FOUNDED FOLLOWING THE DEATH OF LOLITA TERRY’S BROTHER.
In 2019, LoLita Terry lost her brother to gun violence and he left behind two adorable children. Due to her desire and passion for working with children, LoLita started the Chukk Scott’s Foundation in an effort to make a difference and show addition love and support in the lives of children who have lost a parent and/or loved one as a result of gun, domestic violence, suicide, or witness the violence.
Chukk Scott’s Foundation only had two volunteers and a very tiny budget. However, driven by the belief that children affected by gun, domestic violence and suicide are entitled to advice, coaching, leadership, mentorship and great role models in order to be tomorrow’s leaders; LoLita made the commitment of “making a difference in a child’s life.”
Since 2019, Chukk Scott’s Foundation has partnered with an elementary school in Richmond, Virginia and several Domestic Violence Shelters within the Richmond, Virginia and Fayetteville, North Carolina areas, as a way of giving back to the community. And volunteers within the organization is working tirelessly to do their best to help children affected by gun, domestic violence, and suicide.
